*Additions, corrections and revisions of these and all other Redwood Swim Club rules, regulations and policies may be made at any time and without prior notice. Such changes will be made to help ensure a safe environment and pleasant recreational experience for all members.

In addition to our full-service concession stand, Redwood members are permitted by the management to bring home-packed meals, drinks and snacks. There is also a picnic area with tables and grills for larger gatherings. And, we are always pleased to have your child celebrate a birthday with a party at Redwood, too. But in order for this policy to work, it is necessary for everyone to abide by a few simple restrictions. Bottles and glass containers are prohibited. Metal cans, pull-tabs and bottle caps must be discarded safely. Deliveries by outside concessionaires to Redwood Swim Club members on premises are prohibited. Consumption on premises of commercially prepared foods, such as those from pizzerias or fast food establishments, is generally discouraged. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited except as permitted by the management. It is important for all members to please remove and properly discard all litter and debris from the tables and lawn area utilized. We believe our policy to be very fair and reasonable, and it helps maintain a safe and pleasant facility for everyone.

At Redwood, when thunder or lightning are audible or visible, the pools and grounds will be cleared until 30 minutes after the last episode is observed, or as management deems safe. If Redwood is under a thunder-storm or tornado warning, members present will be notified, and unattended children will be advised to find safe passage home or to another secure location. As with most outdoor recreational facilities, safe shelter from weather related events is limited. The restrooms and changing areas afford some protection, but the safest place is probably inside a hard-topped metal vehicle. UNDER TREES and IN THE OPEN are MORE DANGEROUS than being in the pool. More than half of lightning related deaths occur after a thunderstorm has passed. At management's discretion: severe weather will close Redwood for the duration of the threat; if weather and timing permit, Redwood may reopen for the balance of the day. Under less threatening conditions, management will endeavor to open the pools and grounds as soon as conditions are safe.
